The Act is very important and any move to amend it should be treated very cautiously.

Of particular importance to the public are the purposes for which the island is managed - see Section 11 at left.

 

These two sections help to keep the focus on the island being managed as our local holiday island rather than for greater development as an up-market tourist destination.
